Like other battery developers Solid Power (SLDP), a developer of solid state cells for electric vehicles (EVs), is hinting at timeline delays. Previously, the company told investors it would ship EV cells to its original equipment manufacturing (OEM) partners and third-party testing houses by the end of 2022.

In its latest quarterly filing, Solid Power inserted new language suggesting its timeline had slipped due to a strategic refocus:

“...kick-off the formal automotive qualification process, due to our focus in the third quarter on 20 Ah cell deliveries, entry into the formal automotive qualification process may slip into 2023.”
